There was magic in the air on Saturday, September 8, 2007 as almost 350 people came together for the Annual Gala. This year's theme – TOGETHER TAKING FLIGHT – has been adopted as our perpetual theme. It was created by this year's Gala Chairperson, Cinda Knight. Cinda, a breast cancer survivor, was inspired by a visit to the Museum of Natural History in New York. When she walked into the butterfly exhibit, it reminded her of her own chrysalis she experienced during her treatment. Surrounded by family and friends in a protective cocoon, she was supported until her body was healed and she grew stronger. At that time, she took flight together with those who provided the strength she needed to spread her fragile wings and fly.

We would like to thank our many sponsors and patrons for their continued support of our program.

Special thanks goes out to Scott Murray, Master of Ceremony, Garry Hamilton, Auctioneer, and Robin Davis, Survivor Speaker. As always, we are indebted to Harrell Moten, whose artistic genius is capable of taking our (sometimes scattered) ideas and transforming them into creative works of art. And to Joe Tomberlin, whose computer skills provided our first automated Gala.

The Foundation raised $185,000 that night. Proceeds will go to expanding The N.E.A.T. Program® to women in Arlington and Dallas.

We are honored to be supported by so many thoughtful and caring friends and are humbled by their generosity. On behalf of the patients we serve, thanks to all who helped make this event so successful.
